“What you don’t know won’t hurt you.”

Actually, what you don’t know can hurt you a lot! Common sense has lost its way, and we need to bring it back to life. We have stopped using our minds and intuitive powers related to our bodies and our well-being. We rely way too much on what other people know rather than asking our inner selves what we know to be true. Here are a few examples:
■■
The doctor will tell you that you need to have your knee replaced, but it would have helped if someone had told you that if you exceed your natural weight, you will most likely have knee problems.
■■
Wise teachers have helped me realize that shoes that do not have a strap or a back will cause severe long-term back problems and knee issues because they are not designed to work naturally with the way your body was created. We are not made to shuffle our feet or use the front of our feet to hold our shoes on. Observe how many people you see in public places who are limping or struggling to walk—then check out their shoes.
■■
Health challenges have to be addressed by working with all of our
bodies: spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional. Correcting just one
of these areas will only be a temporary fix. An automobile will not
run smoothly if you have an engine without the tires or if you have a
transmission and are missing the engine. Healthy bodies require the
full package.

Life is not one size that fits all. Use your common sense and ask lots of questions of more than one source.
