What is punishment?

Excerpt: “How to Speak Unity” -Temple Hayes-

Magnificent CME Erupts on the Sun - August 31
Punishment is a human rule based upon a belief that we live in a universe which judges and scolds us. In her book “Your Hope of Glory”, Elizabeth Sand Turner suggests that Moses’s Ten Commandments came from a perspective of “thou shalt not.” The old laws implied that breaking these rules could result in punishment and even death.

As humanity evolved, Jesus came to teach about consequences in the Sermon on the Mount. When we are instructed “ye shall be blessed” if you apply this principle, then we understand the idea of cause and effect. We decide to choose our actions according to the consequences.
