Different, difference, different difference? For someone to say that about you is the highest compliment that you can ever receive. It’s important when someone takes the time to notice you in every day life. You don’t know the courage it’s taken them to tell you or to come to you and say something. So when someone says to you, “You are wonderful! you’ve made a difference in my day, you’ve made a difference in my week, you’ve changed my life – really accept what they’re saying and say, “Thank you for noticing!”
Really breathe that in and experience that. In scripture we are told, “May you have the eyes to see and the ears to hear.” We say to ourselves, well that’s what they’re designed to do. On a spiritual level for the eyes to see is for us to have the spiritual eyes to look beyond appearances. When we’re facing challenging circumstances and situations in our lives and are unsure of the outcome, we are given the spiritual gift of seeing. The gift of knowing with faith that God is there and that better things are to come.
When we are open, we have the spiritual ears to hear when someone says, “I love you” to really hear that. When someone says, “Thank you for being you” to really hear and feel that with every part of you. Just as we hear in the message of Jesus that “You are God’s Beloved with whom God is well pleased.” Breathe it in ….. experience that truth.
