During a visit to the healer John of God in Abadiania, Brazil, one of the first things Temple saw as she arrived on the grounds were many stray, hungry, neglected and homeless dogs. Several of the dogs came to her and a relationship was formed.
Without any hesitation, she decided on the spot that she would rescue as many as she could.
Calling on friends, and using her own resources she brought 8 dogs back to the United States. SOFI (pictured here) was one of them, and the SOFI project was born.
The SOFI Project, headquartered in Tampa Bay, FL, is a non-profit organization that rescues and rehabilitates dogs and cats globally.
